The fees charged for mediation are assumed to be shared by all parties. I have found that when each party pays his or her fair share it is an incentive to cooperate and fully participate in the process. If, for some reason, the fee schedule is inappropriate I will be happy to adjust it according to the equities of the situation
Full-day sessions begin at 9:30 AM, include a working lunch and continue until completed. Should a session not conclude by 5:00 PM, it may extend into the evening without additional charge. Half-day sessions begin at either 9:30 AM and extend until 12:30PM or begin at 1:30 PM and continue until 4:30 PM Continuation of the mediation past this time will be charged at the rate of $150 per hour per party. Half-day sessions do not include lunch.
Full-day Mediation $1200 per party.
Half-day Mediation $500 per party
If no more than two parties are involved and there is less than $50,000 in controversy, a Half-day mediation may be appropriate.
Fees include the following:
Scheduling and Administrating the Session(s)
Preparing and Conducting the Mediation Session
Post-Session Conferences necessary to achieve Resolution
Lunch and Refreshments for all Participants (full day only).
Telephone, fax, computer, photocopying, and similar elements necessary for the comfort and facilitation of the mediation.
A FEE OF 50% PER PARTY OF THE ESTABLISHED FEE FOR A FULL-DAY SESSION WILL BE CHARGED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE THE MEDIATION LESS THAN TEN CALENDAR DAYS PRIOR TO ITS SCHEDULED DATE. THE CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING FEE FOR A HALF-DAY SESSION IS $250 PER PARTY. THE FULL FEE WILL BE CHARGED TO ALL PARTIES FOR ANY CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING WITHIN FORTY-EIGHT HOURS PRIOR TO THE SESSION DATE AND TIME.
Arbitrations will be charged at the rate of $150 per hour/per party with a 4 hour minimum. Pretrial and post trial matters, deliberation requiring additional reading of trial exhibits, out of court viewing or any other matter requiring the time and attention of the arbitrator will be charged at this rate.
UMPIRE
Services as an Umpire will be charges at the rate of $200.00 per hour per party with the exception that expenses will be charged if it becomes necessary to inspect the premises.
